About Permission To Play
Permission to Play is Lauren’s approach to improv for anyone who’s ready to get out of their head and back into play. Through one-off classes and multi-week workshops, it’s intentionally non-competitive, with no improv experience required. Just games, connection, laughter, and a chance to loosen the grip of self-consciousness and rediscover the freedom of being spontaneous, creative, and living as loud as you’d like.
Play gives us permission to honor our inner child, take up space, follow our impulses, and see what happens when we let ourselves be a little ridiculous again.
A message from Lauren
I love improv and the weirdness you get to create in the moment. Society loves to tell us that we need to “grow up” but I think we should allow ourselves to play more. To say “yes, and” to possibilities, to letting ourselves grow and to taking up space.
My goal is to create a safe space for creativity, with zero pressure or judgment. An encouraging place to explore and heal your inner child through joy, expression, and silliness.
